Verona Lamiere strengthens commitment to decarbonization

5 April 2023

Verona Lamiere S.p.A. is strengthening its commitment to combating climate change by setting new targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from its direct and indirect operations.

A new Target by which it pledges to cut its CO2 emissions by 50 percent by 2025.

With the transfer of part of the business to the new plant, multiple actions have already been implemented to reduce CO2 emissions:

  • Installation of a photovoltaic system with a peak power of 700 kWp;
  • High level of insulation;
  • LED lights with automatic control;
  • underfloor heating;
  • Renovation of the heating system with modern, highly efficient systems;
  • Introduction of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure “Building Management” system;
  • renew state-of-the-art machinery such as high-power Fiber Lasers, which can convert electricity into optical energy with significant energy savings.

Our past, our present, and whatever fragments remain of our future absolutely depend on what we do now.
Only by properly addressing the biggest ecological transition challenges can we achieve the right sustainability goals.
