The UN Global Compact encourages businesses around the world to create an economic framework, social, and environmental measures to promote a healthy and sustainable world economy, providing everyone with the opportunity to share the benefits.
To this end, the UN Global Compact requires companies and organizations that join it to share, support, and apply a set of fundamental principles in their sphere of influence, covering human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption.
Any properly constituted company belonging to any industry may join the United Nations Global Compact.
